Meet Small Business Owner: Allison Stannard, she is the creator of ALo Naturals!
Her curiosity with skincare products began a few years ago when she lived in the desert. It was so dry that she noticed that she used to apply lotion all over numerous times per day.
After awhile, she realized she should know what she was applying to her skin so frequently, so while she began to read the labels of the products I was using, she noticed she was putting a ton of harsh chemicals on her skin multiple times a day!
The research started on those harsh ingredients and the human body. She lastly learned that many of the harsh chemicals that are used in skincare products get soaked directly into our bloodstream as we apply them to our skin.
These chemicals have been known to cause many diseases in people, including numerous types of cancers. She quickly realized that most of the commercial products people used were filled with chemicals, and so she looked for an alternative.
She searched everywhere for natural and organic skincare products.
In reading the labels on those, she also learned that there are still harsh chemicals in most products that claim to be organic.
The only way she could think to not expose herself to all of those harsh chemicals, was to learn how to make her own skincare products so that she would know exactly what was going into them.
This was how it designing and implementing natural products struck a huge curiosity in her and so she began doing extensive research on a ton of raw ingredients.
She came across locations in the world where each ingredient was naturally grown so that she could get the most pure forms of them to incorporate into her own products.
During that research, she learned that not only she would be deterring the carcinogens which are responsible causing chemicals but that the natural ingredients se implemented and started using are also extremely abundant in many vitamins and other nutrient rich ingredients which benefit us in a lot of healthy ways!
Her process led to a ton of research and she experimented and performed a lot of trial and error until she was able to arrive at just the right formula.
Once accomplished her goal of creating a healthy way to moisturize and nourish her own skin, she began sharing it with my family and friends, her purpose: She wanted to keep them safe and healthy as well.
In that very kind process of giving, many people appreciated the theory behind my creations and loved the way these natural products made their skin feel, so she thought to share her discovery of health & happiness with the rest of the world!
She became a small online business and later moved from the desert to the beautiful southern Georgia coast and opened shop at the Pier Village Market in St. Simons Island, GA and continues to serve her clients locally and long distance.
Her magnificent body butter was only the beginning of her creation of a whole line of natural, healthy products she offers and she continues to develop more formulas to serve the needs of all her loyal customers and new ones as well.
So, always be on the lookout for more new products arriving! There are always more in the works she just doesn't stop growing.
