Client: Buddy Bengel | MHC Marlins Baseball Team Vice-President /Owner | Press KIT

The Morehead City Marlins are a member of the Coastal Plain League, the nation’s hottest summer collegiate baseball league. Celebrating its 20th season in 2016, and entering its 21st season in May 31st 2017 - The Coastal Plain League feature about 16 teams playing in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia.

The CPL gives college players the chance to refine their skills with the use of wooden bats. Players are housed with local host families for the summer and past experiences have been very positive for both players and hosts.

At Puck O'Neal Field at Big Rock Stadium the Marlins present a unique sporting experience for all ages, and at an affordable price.

The team is comprised of outstanding baseball talent from all over the country.

Each player has that continuing dream to become a professional baseball player and playing summer collegiate baseball is a necessary step.

Buddy Bengel - is the Vice President / Owner - And we have had the great opportunity to work with MHC Marlins as well as other of his entrepreneurial projects in the state of NC.

Buddy  is hardly your typical baseball VP/owner, either - He wears flip-flops, jeans and t-shirts to the office every day, or you may also find him being the Marlins’ groundskeeper, and he has been known to moonlight as his team’s unofficial pitching coach.

During the Marlins’ first season, he sometimes had to run the sound, the scoreboard, and the statistics, working three computers at the same time, but only on nights when he wasn’t needed to dress as Finn, the team’s mascot. Very grounded young man!

Please check out the website and let's go to a ballgame this summer !!!
