Client: Morehead Fire Department Yearbook | Allie miller commercial | Public Service Sector

The Morehead City Fire Department was established in 1906 and the Morehead City EMS Department was formed in 1958, as Morehead City Rescue Squad.

On July 1, 2000 the two departments merged, creating the current Morehead City Fire EMS Department.

On October 1, 2014, Morehead City Fire & EMS merged with Wildwood Fire EMS.

The department now protects an area of 23.0 square miles. This includes Mitchell Village-Crab Point Fire District and the Wildwood Fire District with an approximate population of 28,000 residents between the city and two districts.

The MHCFD is a Full service department offering: fire suppression, fire prevention, Advanced Life Support (ALS) Paramedic transport, inspections, fire investigations, and rescue of trapped victims.

It has been a great experience to have worked with the three different shifts, along with part-time personnel as well as retired and active volunteers - We cannot wait for the yearbook to be finished -
